The Clean Sweep Assessment Tool

Caroline, a recent attendee at one of my workshops, reminded me recently of a wonderful tool, the “Clean Sweep Assessment”, a checklist that tells you right away where your life is out of balance, and the areas that might need attention.

Check it out and give yourself some great motivation for investing in yourself — and your happiness.

The Best Paper Calendar

If you like using a paper calendar you can write (and scribble!) in, I highly recommend my favorite weekly planner, the Planner Pad

It comes in several variations and sizes, the most convenient of which is the Personal size because it fits easily in most bags and purses.

I love it because it leaves so much room to record important everyday information, and the yearly pages in the front give you a macro look at what’s happening in your life.

Here’s what last year ended up looking like, for instance:

Order an inside pocket while you’re at it to hold odds and ends of paper, and a book marker so you can easily locate today’s date.

Chi Energy in the Office

At my Feng Shui in the Office workshop on Wednesday attendees learned how to apply Feng Shui principles to enhance their wealth and happiness at work.

One question came from Brooke, who works for a small business that’s just moved into new offices.  She wanted to know which way their conference table should face — out towards the beautiful view or have its back to the window?

My answer?  The conference table should face away from the window so the Chi energy of salespeople and clients stays focused on the products, rather than the view outside.   Chi energy is likely to “fly out the window” otherwise, reducing the likelihood of making a deal .

In fact, Brooke told me that of four deals they’ve tried to close in this conference room, the only successful one occurred when everyone faced away from the window!

I have to admit, I wasn’t surprised :)

Bagua on a Restaurant Doorway

I’m starting to take pictures of examples showing how Feng Shui is all around us, in ways large & small.  This first installment is a picture I took last night in “Little Korea”, on W. 32nd St. in Manhattan.  Notice the image of the eight-sided Bagua on the front door of the restaurant?

This is considered very good Feng Shui because it clearly identifies the restaurant’s entrance with one of the most auspicious symbols there is, the “energy map” that brings good chi into every part of our lives.

Feng Shui — Good Enough To Eat?

Here’s how we can all tell that Feng Shui has arrived — it has its own snack food ;) .

Available at your local supermarket, these crunchy maki rolls are guaranteed to bring you good Feng Shui because they’re “perfectly balanced”!

Enjoy!
