The Fire Element: Passion and High Energy

It’s time to bring Fire into your environment when you want to liven things up with a feeling of expansiveness, enthusiasm and passion.

The easiest way to do that is by literally lighting up your space with candles or beautiful lighting.

But Feng Shui offers other, less well-known ways to add the element of Fire. Here are a few examples.

1. Use the color red and triangular shapes.

This photo shows three ways to bring Fire into a space that would otherwise feel emotionally chilly: the warm red cushion on the couch and the pointed, outward-reaching triangular shapes of the tree and ornament to the left of the couch.

2. Use animal prints.

I love this chair! With something like this in your space you’d always have that slightly wild feeling of Fire nature going strong.

3. Use pictures of people.

Photos of humans and animals also represent the Fire element, so the big photo over the bunk beds of the little girls who sleep here is a lovely way bring the warmth of Fire into their bedroom.

What do you think of these ideas? Do they surprise you at all? Let me know!
