Several years ago one of the most prominent buildings in New York City was overhauled with Feng Shui principles in mind.
The old Gulf & Western Building at Columbus Circle now uses Feng Shui to deflect negative energy and draw in beneficial Chi. Here’s a photo:
At this busy intersection, traffic comes at the building from every direction.
So the large silver globe was installed as a Feng Shui adjustment that shields the building from aggressive traffic energy, deflecting it to flow around the building instead.
You can definitely feel the effect when you stand near the globe!
In another adjustment, the building’s entrance was relocated all the way from one side of the building to the other.
In moving the front entrance from busy Broadway to the tree-filled setting on the Central Park side, this building now draws on the beneficial Chi energy coming from the park.
It’s almost as if the building can “breathe easier” now
