Over this past weekend (on Valentine’s Day, in fact) we celebrated 2010 as the start of the Year of the Tiger, part of a 60-year zodiac cycle that features a revolving combination of the 12 Chinese astrological Animals and the Five Elements, plus the properties of Yin & Yang.
So to be more precise, we have moved out of the year of the Yin Earth Ox, and into the year of the Yang Metal Tiger. This is quite a contrast, so be prepared for a big energy shift.
Last year’s Yin Earth Ox seemed “stuck in the mud,” which felt completely right, didn’t it? If you’re like most people I know, you were very glad to see the end of 2009 and feel ready for a fresh start this year.
So you may welcome the arrival of the Yang Metal Tiger, an aggressive animal with sharp claws and quick movements.

The Yang Metal Tiger
My advice for this year: stay alert for big opportunities that will inevitably come your way, but keep the Tiger on your side by checking them out completely before you commit.
