As the “Mouth of Chi,” the front entry of your home or office invites positive energy into your life and gives the first impression of what is happening in your environment.
Chi energy is made to feel welcome when it enters through a front door that opens up completely to a clear, uncluttered entryway with no obstacles blocking its path.
When Chi is blocked or stumbles over clutter it receives an immediate bad impression and will start to carry less auspicious energy.
This bad impression has a negative impact on your health and prosperity.
Create a beautiful Front Entry with good Feng Shui: clutter-free, well-lit and nicely appointed with lovely art, a mirror, a healthy plant.
When you give Chi energy a good first impression, good health and prosperity will flow to you and your family more strongly, easily and abundantly.
Along with your Front Entry, find out about the other two areas Feng Shui considers particularly important for your health, prosperity and relationships: your Kitchen and your Bedroom.

Hi Ann,
We just bought a house and, after conversing with a FB friend who is knowledgeable in Feng Shui about it, I learned that our front door is a Feng Shui nightmare. He said that because the door is directly in front of a (short) staircase leading up to the main floor (there is also one slightly to the right, that leads down to a split-back basement), too much Chi would escape. Other than moving the door (too $$$), he didn’t have much hope for an adjustment.
Here’s what I have thought of: 1) paint the door black; 2) place a water feature out in front of it, with the water flowing towards the door; 3) hang some wind chimes (in or out?); 4) place a good-sized living plant in the corner, before the downward stairs; 5) hang a large faceted crystal chandelier in the foyer; 6) hang some artwork or photos relating to success, abundance, joy, etc., in round, black frames. What do you think of these ideas? Could I use a mirror strategically, to redirect the Chi?
Thank you for all of your helpful articles! (I just bought your e-book, too.)
