4 Ways To Create Better Opportunities At Your Front Door

Do you have the feeling that good opportunities are not flowing to you as you wish?

In Feng Shui the entry to your home or office is considered the “mouth of Chi,” where small adjustments can encourage new opportunities to flow into your life.

Here are four common entryway challenges and Feng Shui adjustments to help you open up your life to the abundance that awaits:

Good Feng Shui: A red front door.

1. “Poison Arrows”– If your home or office is situated at a T-intersection facing oncoming traffic, you’re dealing with a “Poison Arrow.”

The onrushing Chi energy from the street is too aggressive from a Feng Shui perspective and needs to be redirected.

Place a large, heavy object in front of the entry: a sculpture, a tree, even a mailbox. What other clever ideas have you seen?

2. Difficulty identifying your address — When an address is hard to see, Chi has trouble locating you to impart its positive benefits.

Make sure your house number is well-lit and easy to see from the street to make it easy for Chi — and your mail-person — to find you.

3. Stuck energy around the doorway — A cluttered entry discourages positive Chi from entering your space, sending a discouraging message to anyone entering or leaving.

You know what to do :) — clear the clutter, make sure the door opens all the way, and welcome in the positive vibes.

4. Inauspicious surroundings — When your home or office are located in a less-than-ideal neighborhood you have a chance to raise the energy of the entire neighborhood by creating a positive-Chi entryway.

A beautiful color on the door, well-lit porch or stoop, subtle decoration… don’t be surprised when your neighbors will begin to follow your example, creating improved Feng Shui for the whole area.

Great advice! I cleared the entry inside and out at my house, but it seems that my children and husband like to fill the empty space with ‘stuff’. I like the openness and I feel that if I put anything there, it will get filled even more with things that don’t belong. Do you have a suggestion for shoes that don’t need to be inside the house? I live on a small ranch.
