3 Ways Your Bedroom May Be Sabotaging Your Love Life

Do you have a happy love life?

If not, a few simple Feng Shui adjustments to your bedroom may be all it takes to make romance blossom and thrive.

Here are three key questions to ask yourself.

1. Does your artwork create good Feng Shui?

Bedroom art can make or break the sensual mood.

Bad Feng Shui!

Check to make sure the imagery in your art isn’t overly violent, juvenile or otherwise clashing with your Romantic Intention. Every signal you send counts.

The best art for your bedroom includes pairs — of people or beautiful objects, for instance — in loving connection with one another.

2. Is the Primary Purpose of your bedroom clear?

If you desire a bedroom that supports romance and a healthy love life, ask yourself what purpose it’s really serving right now.

Is it functioning as a storeroom, office, exercise area, kids’ playroom? If the answer is yes, it’s time to recall your Intention and give your bedroom a Feng Shui makeover.

3. Do your bed linens and furnishings look worn and frayed?

Threadbare sheets, blankets with pulled threads, a chair that’s so worn out you removed it from your living room: all these send the message that your bedroom is a low priority in your life.

A small investment in beautiful bedding — and a beautiful, comfortable place to sit — will warm up your bedroom and transform it into a place of love and joy.

And for the best Feng Shui, don’t forget to make your bed, every single day ;)

I’d include the TV in that lineup. Ack. While I do subscribe to all of your points, we’re due for an update. I just don’t want to part with my periwinkle walls -such a great complement to any color we add on the bed!

Thanks Lisa. The TV can definitely interfere with romance — I think of it as another distraction from the Primary Purpose of the room, in fact. It’s so much better to get it out of there or at least cover it while you’re sleeping.

By the way my own bedroom is periwinkle! It’s a color that can support a host of warm, sensual colors without becoming overwhelming — no need to get rid of it, necessarily, unless you’re tired of it.
