If you spend a lot of time in your car, Feng Shui can make your road trips easier and much more pleasant.
Promote good Chi in your car with these key Feng Shui tips:
1. Make sure trips go smoothly by creating healthy Chi flow.
Keep your car clean and clutter-free. Remove trash, papers, receipts and so on from your car at the end of each day.
Be sure to keep the windows especially clean to keep positive Chi energy moving freely and easily.
2. Balance Yin-Yang energy.
Cars have a natural tendency towards aggressive Yang energy because of their size, power and speed.
Balance the Yang with calm, nurturing Yin energy — a comforting blanket or cushion on the back seat, in your favorite soft color.
3. Harmonize the elements.
The element your car needs most is Water. Driving is dehydrating, and cars are naturally hot and Fire-y in terms of the Five Elements.
Keep a fresh bottle of drinking water in your car to quench your thirst as well as toning down your car’s Fire-y Yang nature.
4. Apply your Intention
What is your Primary Purpose for driving? Do you use it mostly for commuting to work, for ferrying your kids around, for going on weekend vacations?
Whatever the case may be, anchor and enhance that energy with photos or other small items inconspicuously placed somewhere in your car.
5. Nourish your car!
Last but not least, cars need loving too! Let your car know how you feel by nourishing it with full tanks of high-quality gas, clean fresh oil, and regular baths.
(Bonus tip: Make sure your license plate carries either a neutral or a positive message!)
