Travel & Helpful People: Feng Shui’s “Back Door” To Prosperity

The way most people use it, the Feng Shui Bagua Map operates in a straightforward way: enhance specific areas on the map, and leave it at that.

But what if the Bagua offered more than one way to enhance some of these important areas — like your Wealth/Prosperity sector, for instance?

You’ll be happy to know that there is a “back door” to prosperity in the sector that’s opposite Wealth on the map: Travel & Helpful People.

I recently talked about enhancing your Relationship by focusing on your Knowledge & Self-Cultivation.

Similarly, focusing on Travel & Helpful People has the power to enhance your Wealth.

If your Wealth needs a boost, take a look at what’s going on in the opposite corner of your space, the Travel/Helpful People sector.

Is a bathroom located there, taking healthy Chi energy down the drain? Is the area cluttered, dirty, or disorganized?

Do you really love the art and objects you keep there — or is it time to refresh the whole area?

When you anchor healthy energy in Travel & Helpful People, you show that you understand this sector’s role in wealth-building activities:

  • travel that increases your opportunities
  • business networking
  • getting — and appreciating — high-quality help
  • “paying things forward”
  • paying back through philanthropy and volunteerism

How can you enhance your Prosperity through Travel & Helpful People?

Love the simplicity of this explanation and I understand how one supports the other. But, I am struggling with enhancing my wealth areas. On the first floor, I literally have a toilet in the wealth corner and a radiator in the travel and helpful people corner. Neither can be relocated and I don’t want wealth going down the drain or heated relationships. What is a girl to do?

No worries, Cathy! My advice is to make your bathroom gorgeous, spa-like, whatever says fabulous abundance to you. Also make sure it includes the Wood element, since that area is enhanced by the Wood element; Wood also counteracts the downward nature of draining Water in the bathroom.

In terms of your radiator, which is associated with the Fire element, go with it! Fire nurtures Earth, the element of the Relationships area, so you’re good to go. Be sure to cushion yourself against the hot metal, though :)
