Missing Bagua areas can affect the Feng Shui of a space, as you can clearly see when you look at the Feng Shui of floor plans.
What to do if your home is missing one — or more — Bagua areas?
In the apartment above, two Bagua areas are mostly missing: Wealth and Fame & Reputation, in the upper left and center, respectively.
Missing Bagua areas are an issue in Feng Shui because
- As humans we are happiest in “complete” shapes, such as squares or rectangles. It’s normal to feel a sense of imperfection when your environment is irregularly-shaped. Over time this negative feeling builds until you address it with the correct Feng Shui adjustment.
- The Bagua Map anchors every important part of your life in your space, so you’re best off making sure that every area of your life is represented.
If your home is missing a Bagua area, the first thing to do is see what you can do to “complete the Bagua” shape outside of the building itself.
Good examples of exterior Feng Shui adjustments:
- Place bright lights or tall poles with banners or flags to create the outline of the complete Bagua on your property.
- Add “living symbols” of the sector that’s missing: for example, a water fountain (affiliate link) in the Career area or healthy plants in the New Beginnings or Wealth sectors.
