How To Use Feng Shui Wind Chimes

Filed Under: Feng Shui Basics & Essentials Tagged With: Metal Element, Wood Element

Beautiful Feng Shui wind chimes are one of the most popular Feng Shui adjustments you can make in your home.

As one of Feng Shui’s Nine Essential Chi Adjustments they add vitality wherever Chi energy feels stuck.  Their lovely, heavenly sound gives you an immediate dose of positive Chi each time they ring out.

Wind chimes can be hung indoors or out.  To hang them properly, place them in the Bagua area that supports their element:

  • If your chimes are made mostly of Metal, enhance your success by hanging them in the Children, Travel/Helpful People or Career area of your space.
  • If they’re made of Wood, the best placement is in the New Beginnings, Wealth or Fame sectors of the Bagua.

Only select chimes whose sound you love.  I’m a big fan of the Woodstock Chimes Gregorian Alto Windchime (my Amazon link), whose sound beautifully reflects the sounds of nature.

Important tip! Take care that your windchimes don’t annoy your neighbors! Unwanted sounds such as these can backfire and create negative Chi energy, so place your outdoor wind chime with consideration and care.

I love the wind chime, their sound are so relaxing, it feels like it transports you to a different place, without living your home. Great tips on where to place them!!

I have had a love of wind chimes since I was very little. Being an air sign this makes sense. I enjoy the sound of their movement with the breeze! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

You are most welcome! Wind chimes bring both Metal and Wood (Air) to life, so they’re a wonderful Five Elements adjustment.
