Use A Feng Shui Color Scheme To Paint Your Home

Are you thinking about repainting some of the rooms in your home?

Think about using a Feng Shui color scheme to do your next round of decorating.

Feng Shui recommends that you paint your rooms in a very particular way, with your floors the darkest color, walls a bit lighter, and your ceilings lightest of all.

Heaven & Earth

The beauty of heaven and earth.

This scheme anchors you in the familiar way you actually live in the world: rich dark earth supporting and nourishing you from below, surrounded by a world of wondrous multiple colors, with the brilliance of the sky above.

Even more importantly it reflects and “matches” the way that Feng Shui establishes humanity in the larger cosmology, safely positioned between Heaven and Earth.

A color scheme like this feels great because it is so very familiar to you, both consciously and unconsciously.  It’s an expression of the beauty and mystery of Feng Shui.

Every time I read your blog, feng shui fascinates me more. The photo this blog post are the exact colors in my apt. I have hardwoods floors with a green walls in living room/hallway, yellow walls in kitchen and blue in my bedroom. It was a little scary using that much color but once up it transformed the apt and created a warm and harmonious feel.

Love this! I have a slight pale lavender in my bedroom with white ceilings and it feels very calming. It’s my relationship corner of the house and is nurturing for me. Thanks for your post! I love reading it.
