I was recently honored to work with a busy church minister whose office needed a complete Feng Shui and organizational overhaul.
I’m thrilled to be able to show you these Before & After Feng Shui photos that pretty much speak for themselves.
The Office – “Before” Feng Shui
As this “Before” photo of the Wealth/Abundance sector shows, Karen’s office Chi was seriously stuck.
Overflowing mismatched file cabinets dominated the sector. Even worse these old-style file drawers were very difficult to work with, as your knuckles can testify if you’ve ever tried to retrieve a file from one!
Bad Feng Shui indeed.
Finally, Karen’s desk — the most important piece of furniture in any office — faced the wall, with her back squarely facing the door, making her vulnerable and placing her well out of the Command Position.
The Office – “After” Feng Shui
Here is Karen after the overhaul, sitting contentedly – and Commandingly – at her newly-positioned desk.
Clutter is gone (thanks to Sarah Stitham, expert professional organizer) and Karen is happy. She is close to the books she refers to every day, she can easily see visitors coming through the door, and it is much easier for her to have office meetings with her parishioners without rearranging the furniture.
The old file cabinets have been replaced by matching, easy-to-use lateral file cabinets which have a lovely low profile to and give Karen some much-needed surface area to work with.
Karen reports feeling focused and at peace when she is working in her office now, and I’m happy to think of the positive impact that good Feng Shui has brought into her life.
