Your bedroom serves so many functions: it’s your healing space, spiritual sanctuary, romantic retreat and emotional refuge.
But most importantly, your dreams take flight in your bedroom.
Feng Shui supports your dreams by helping you find a way to make them come true, so if you’re feeling stuck, it’s time for a Feng Shui Bedroom check-in.
As soon as you get a moment to yourself, go into your bedroom, sit down on your bed and look around without judgment.
You are a reporter on your own life right now.
What do you see? Uplifting art? Comfortable furnishings that you love? Colors that soothe and cheer you? Clear surfaces that send a message of peace and calm?
Ask yourself: “Can I truly relax and dream in here?”
If you don’t feel safe, snug and spiritually uplifted in your bedroom you won’t be able to dream in a way that moves your life forward.
Invest some time in eliminating the typical culprits that create a drag on your dreams: “homeless” stuff like shoes and (dirty or clean) laundry, neglected furniture, too many electronics, lifeless or drab colors.
Last week I visited a client who had painted her bedroom a lovely shade of lavender which, while beautiful, felt a bit chilly.
It needed a contrasting bit of warmth to create a perfect spot for dreaming.
Here’s the gorgeous piece of art, a Mark Rothko poster, that we chose to hang over her bed.
