Kitchen Feng Shui For Your Refrigerator!

Filed Under: Feng Shui & Clutter, Feng Shui for Your Home Tagged With: Kitchen Feng Shui, Reader Questions, Three Most Important Areas In Feng Shui

Another great reader question this week —

“My fridge is out of control!  Is there such a thing as refrigerator Feng Shui?”

Of course there is!  Refrigerators are notorious for accumulating stuck energy — out-of-date food that’s lost at the back, hard-to-clean shelves, and the general sense of not knowing what you have or whether it’s edible.

fridge-before

In fact a cluttered refrigerator is a classic example of Clutter Type #3 in your kitchen, a place where good Feng Shui is crucial for your health and wealth.

Besides a good cleanout, there’s a solution that I love and that I’ve raved about before: lazy susans.

Yes, a spinning lazy susan brings great Chi energy to your fridge.

  • Get easy access to stuff that used to be stuck at the back.
  • Run them through your dishwasher to clean them up.
  • And perhaps best of all, bring a sense of fun and movement to your hunt for something to eat.

fridge-after

These quick before & after pics of my own refrigerator give you the idea.

No more hunting for my favorite jams!

Lazy susans make a great Feng Shui organizing solution for deep shelves that need to hold small items.  Try them out to corral your cleaning supplies too.

ps, I recommend Rubbermaid brand lazy susans for space-saving and super-easy cleanup.

I am wondering how to go about creating good feng shui for my neighbors and I in the central stairwell and front door of our 2.5 storey, six unit apartment building. It faces SE , so sits NW? Paint on exterior is in earth tones. But is the stairs going up and down from inside front door causing the chi to woosh out the front? I tied a fire element silk flower to the middle floor banister to hopefully draw chi back up to middle landing… any suggestions to minimize negative chi? Thanks !!

      Hello Anita,
This sounds like a Flying Star Feng Shui question, so I would suggest getting in touch with a Flying Star expert. Good luck!
