Does your home have an attached garage?
If so, your garage is an integral part of the Feng Shui of your home.
An attached garage (and any space that’s structurally connected to your home) needs to be included in the Bagua Map and cared for just as you care for the other important spaces in your life.
Many garages I’ve seen no longer have the space to shelter the cars they were designed to protect.
Instead they’re packed with the detritus of life, usually things that you think you are banishing from your home and your thoughts, but that instead are creating stuck energy in your life.
A garage that’s packed with stuff is nevertheless empty of good energy; it is a large dark Yin space that’s not supplying you with the good Chi you need.
Transform your lifeless garage into a place of warmth, support and nourishment.
- Dedicate your Intention to making your garage a room of its own, integrated into the life of your house.
- If clutter and grime have accumulated there, now is the time for a thorough going-over. Your conscious and subconscious selves need to know that your entire home gives you clarity and support.
- Connect your garage to your home by painting it in a color you love to see when you drive or walk into it.
- Recognize the Bagua area it sits in with appropriate art or other symbolism.
- Hang a beautiful piece of landscape art here as well, to warmly greet you each time you drive in.
- Add Yang energy with warm lighting that makes you feel welcome.
Just as every limb on your body is connected and part of your wholeness, so everything attached to your home is integral to its healthy Feng Shui.
Make your garage count! Your life (and your car) will thank you!
