The Elements Mall is divided into five zones, loosely associated with Feng Shui’s Five Elements.

So,

• The Metal Zone includes super-luxury shops and gorgeous metallic sculptures,
• The Water Zone contains great restaurants (not sure why?) and water features,
• The Wood Zone features wood decor and brands that focus on health, beauty and lifestyle,
• The Fire Zone lives up to its name with a huge movie complex — and an ice skating rink (!),
• and the Earth Zone features world fashion in a lush garden environment.

I would LOVE to go to Hong Kong to explore the city and check out this mall. this mall.  It would be such fun to experience all the ways they’ve brought the Five Elements to life.

Feng Shui doesn’t like king-sized beds, but what about this one?

The caption reads:

“As I recall, you’re the one who insisted on a conquistador-sized mattress.”

The couple is soooo far apart in bed — and in life, it seems — that they even need two separate pieces of art over their heads!

It’s an exaggeration, but really isn’t so far off from what can happen to a relationship in a king-sized bed*.

Do you agree that is cozy always better?

The consultant is saying — “This is the most auspicious arrangement I could come up with, so I advise you not to move anything.”

Strange odds & ends are strewn about the room; the furniture is at odd angles and even upside down.

Ouch! I know a lot of people out there believe this is what Feng Shui is all about — but needless to say, faithful reader, I don’t agree

In fact, I would say this is Feng Shui clutter!

To me, Feng Shui is a practical art, a way to create a beautiful, comfortable and secure space where you can be happy and productive.

The cartoon is fun and got my attention, but…
