One of the easiest ways to use Feng Shui to adjust the energy in your space is with color: on the walls, in your furniture and art, and as accents that balance and harmonize.
Make sure you’re using Feng Shui colors correctly with this handy guide:
Green: Anchors the energies of growth, healing, harmony and vitality.
Purple: Anchors the energies of abundance, gratitude and authority.
White: Anchors the energies of mental focus, clarity and purposeful activity.

Orange: Anchors the energies of openness, joy and completion.
Turquoise: Anchors the energies of serenity, assimilation and accomplishment.
Red: Anchors the energies of passion, inspiration, action and achievement.
Dark Blue and Black: Anchor the energies of reflection, concentration and truth.
Pink: Anchors the energies of love, intimate relationships, and emotional nourishment.
Yellow and Gold: Anchor the energies of happiness, centeredness and peace.

May i ask if having arched doorways or 3 arches in a row are considered not good feng shui?
Hello Ethel,
Doorways that line up in the way you describe can cause Chi energy to rush too quickly through a space. The Chi energy needs to be managed in such a way that it flows in a meandering way, gently and slowly.
If you have too much water element in your home (furniture white) floors black ,can you use terracotta on drapes to warm the home up. Just learning Fengtai shui and very interested.
Thanks. Betty
Hello Betty, yes, the Earth & Fire color of terracotta does a great job of warming up a home with too much Water (black) or Metal (white). Thanks for a good question 🙂
I work in a public office where moral is low so I thought maybe we could do something to the break room to help lift workers’ spirits. Currently, the walls are off white and the floors are checkered rust and off white (light beige) tile. The cabinets somewhat match the floors; they look like cherry wood. We are going to paint the walls and remove some faded framed posters. What’s a good way to bring feng shui into an office break room on a very limited budget? What would be a good color for the walls? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hello Angela,
As a first step I suggest bringing in plants for vitality, but in truth I need more information to give you a more detailed answer – would you like to set up a mini-consultation so we can discuss?
This is a great site!
Thanks!
Hi, had to move our office from its optimal spot in the house (top right corner from the front door) to lower left corner downstairs. What can we do to bring positive cash flow, reliable excellent staff and happy customers into our experience?
Note: We did this with the idea of changing the front door to downstairs and have that be our main entrance. Unfortunately that won’t happen for at least a few months. My husband is already stressing out.
Thanks!
Hello Naia,
This is a complex question that requires a consultation with a Feng Shui expert. Please let me know if you would like to set something up with me or another consultant.
