One of my recent clients called me because she felt stuck and hoped that Feng Shui would bring new vitality into her life, especially her social life 😉
She happened to live in a small apartment where she needs to use every square inch as well as she can, so she’d figured out how to store things in places high and low, hidden and exposed.
Â
When I arrived for the Feng Shui consultation, I immediately discovered that her front door didn’t open all the way.
I felt stuck trying to get through the door!
It turned out that in her zeal to use every part of her place, she was using the space behind her door as a coat rack. The door couldn’t open all the way because it was running into a big pile of coats, shoes and other stuff.
In Feng Shui terms, Chi energy was getting stuck as it attempted to come through her front door, causing her to feel stuck in her life.
By stopping Chi right from the start, she missed out on its power to bring good energy into her life in the form of new opportunities, healthy friendships and vital, happy family relationships.
A door needs to open to at least a 90-degree angle in order to fully welcome positive Chi energy.Â
We removed everything from behind the door, putting out-of-season things away and finding in-season homes for the rest.
Soon she called to tell me about all the wonderful things that were happening in her life — her social life in particular had really taken off.
What might happen if you made your front door more welcoming to Chi energy?
