Get Ready For 2014, The Year Of The Wood Horse!

Filed Under: Fun & Fascinating Feng Shui Tagged With: Chinese Astrology, Five Elements, Yin & Yang

We leave behind 2013’s Yin Water Snake and move into the Chinese Year Of The Yang Wood Horse commencing this Friday, January 31 2014.

Are you ready for an exciting year ahead?

2013’s Snake created an experience of subtle yet powerful change.  The Yin Water Snake’s movements are low to the ground as he or she sheds old skin to glide gracefully into the new.

Yin moves to Yang….Water moves to Wood….Snake moves to Horse

The Yang Wood Horse energy of 2014 could hardly be more different!

The Horse in Chinese astrology is an animal that loves to travel and roam.  Independent and strong, the Horse teams up beautifully with this year’s Wood element, symbolizing growth, fresh beginnings and upward momentum.

Tap into the powerful and positive life force of the “Green Horse” with images of horses and fresh greenery to activate growth.  If Horse imagery doesn’t resonate, the Sheep is the Horse’s best friend, so bring a bit of gentle Sheep energy into your environment for the year.

The lunar New Year is celebrated for two full weeks, from the New Moon on January 31st until the Full Moon on February 14th.  Take advantage of this time to refresh your home so you can take best advantage of auspicious energy in the year ahead.

The Year of the Wood Horse extends from January 31, 2014 until the Sheep Year begins on February 19, 2015.
