How To Ask A Feng Shui Question

Filed Under: Feng Shui Basics & Essentials

As a fan of Feng Shui, it’s likely that you have questions about the Feng Shui of your own home or office.

Short of hiring a Feng Shui consultant, how can you get good answers to your questions from a trusted source?

As a longtime Feng Shui expert, I am asked many, many specific questions about the Feng Shui of people’s homes and offices. (Do you wish to ask me a Feng Shui question? Check out my “Ask Ann” page now.)

Help and support signpost

These questions range from the specific:
Where will a mirror in my dining room create the best energy flow?

to the general:
Is the shape of my house auspicious or inauspicious?

Just as you have important questions for other professionals in your life — your financial advisor, your doctor, your exercise teacher — your favorite Feng Shui consultant is a professional too.

So when you ask them a question, it’s important to acknowledge their expertise.

In Feng Shui this is a long and honored tradition, sometimes called an “Energy Exchange.” The energy of money flows towards the Feng Shui consultant as the benefits of their wisdom and experience flow into your life.

Your question is important, and the answer may well change your life. The simplest Feng Shui adjustment can make a big difference.

So when you have a specific Feng Shui question, go ahead and ask your favorite Feng Shui expert, and don’t forget to ask how they would like you to honor their wisdom, experience, expertise and long years of study.

Asking and honoring a Feng Shui expert is the best way to get the answers you need and deserve.

I have a bell collection and I was wondering what area of my house would be best to place them. They don’t get rung a lot they are in a case. But I want the best chi flow.

    Thanks

      Jennifer,
Since your bells are made of Metal, I would suggest finding a home for them in one of the two Metal element sectors of the Bagua: Children or Travel & Helpful People. Please take a look at my page about using the Bagua Map for more information: https://openspacesfengshui.com/feng-shui-tips/2010/01/feng-shui-bagua-map/

      Reina,
It is very hard for me to give you a proper answer because there are many, many details I need to know before making a recommendation. Please let me know if you’d like to set up a mini-consultation so that I can help you out.

I really like the oval but don’t want make mistake . Also the mirror will be placed in front hallway , my front entrance is narrow and I want to put it on adjacent wall , it does not reflect but there is a staircase across from it but is only the bottom of stairs reflected and a wall I heard stairs are bad? This wall really needs something is mirror ok? It isn’t directly across from stairs but close . Ok thanks :)))

      Hello Leslie,
There is no problem at all with an oval mirror, and the location you have selected sounds perfect.

      Hello Kristi,
That sounds lovely. Just be sure they are always fresh, and remove the lids every so often to bring their fresh scent into the room.

what if where the window is it has been covered from the inside and out so it’s just a wall is it bad to have your bed on that wall

    • Ann says

      March 6, 2017 at 2:50 pm

      Hello Sharon,
Is there any evidence that a window used to be in that place? If the wall is completely solid now it should not be a problem.

    Hello Ann
I live in a ground floor flat with two entrances, our main entrance is the back door which opens up from our backyard into our kitchen, we use this all the time, the second entrance is from a communal hall at the front of the house which is accessed via the original front door when the property was one house, there is one other door leading to another flat upstairs in the communal hall, our door opens into our livingroom and we never (unless absolutely necessary) use this entrance so have our sofa blocking it, we also don’t get on with the other flat owners so don’t use it for that reason. My question is whethar blocking this door is creating negativity? We don’t however want to move the sofa as it creates more space. Also our back door is white and southeast facing (colour can’t be changed) and the other door is white facing northwest along with the pale green original main entrance door to both flats. Can the colour be contributing to negativity and can anything be placed on the door if the colour is not right if that makes sense?
