Embrace Love And Romance With Feng Shui

Filed Under: Bedroom Feng Shui Tagged With: Feng Shui for Romance, Holiday Feng Shui

Here comes Valentine’s Day!

Valentine-cards-2015

Despite the hype of cards, flowers and romantic dinners, if you’re looking for a way to heat up your love life, the place to start is in your bedroom.

Here are my top Feng Shui tips to help you embrace love and romance on this once-a-year day that’s all about this essential part of your life.

1. Make room for romance

  • Clear out the clutter: there’s nothing less romantic than a bedroom full of stuff you don’t care about!
  • Focus on the Primary Purpose of your bedroom: sanctuary, peace, romance and intimacy.

2. Remove things that don’t support romance. For instance:

  • Your bedroom TV: the biggest distraction from romance that’s ever been invented ☺.
  • Books: they have an energy all their own.
  • Plants: which divert your attention with their own need for nourishment.
  • Mirrors: they create hard, cold energy in a room that needs to be as soft and warm as possible.
  • Too many pillows & stuffed animals taking up space on the bed.
  • Anything with negative energy that you’re storing underneath your bed.

3. Next, attend to your bed, the most important piece of furniture in your life.

  • The ideal bed size for romance? Queen-sized. (Read why Feng Shui doesn’t like King-sized beds.)
  • Place your bed in the Command Position.
  • Update your sheets and blankets with soft, warm textures and colors.
  • If you have the space and the budget, get a bed with a solid headboard.

4. Attract love by setting up your bedroom for two. Make sure you’re ready for romance with

  • Two nightstands & lamps.
  • Space and an extra hanger or two in your closet.
  • Two cozy rugs.
  • Space on both sides of the bed for each person to move around.

5. Finally, send the universe a message with “pairs” art.

  • Pairs, pairs, pairs! Two people, two flowers, two animals, two candlesticks: couples in art set the stage for romance and connectedness.

Don’t forget to attend to the Relationship area on Feng Shui’s Bagua Map in your home and in your bedroom.

Activate good energy there by making sure it’s clutter-free and open to new experiences in love and in life.

Good tips for better love life 🙂 Unfortunately, there’s no much space on both sides of my bed and there’s a room only for 1 night lamp on the one side of the bed 🙁

There are many ways to improve your bedroom Feng Shui even if you don’t have space on both sides of the bed. Please see my post here for one example: https://openspacesfengshui.com/feng-shui-tips/2010/01/feng-shui-bedroom-makeover-update/ Good luck!

Very helpful suggestions, but what if it is not possible to get rid of books?
I can’t… Is there any remedy?

The first step is to get rid of the ones you can -> take them all off the shelves and go through them one by one to decide which to keep and which to let go of. When you’ve replaced the ones you’re keeping on the shelves, find a way to cover them at night so that their energy doesn’t interfere with your ability to sleep.

Your bedroom TV: the biggest distraction from romance that’s ever been invented ☺. Absolutely true! We don’t have a TV there any more! It was super distracting for us. Bedroom is your private space don’t let some voices to ruin the relationship between you two.

I was planning on buying a beautiful Chinese painting of two horses and putting them in my room. I only have a bedroom. I was researching what wall to place it on, and I came across information that said horse paintings are to busy for a bedroom. I was planning on putting it over my desk where my computer is, the wall faces north or maybe putting it on the south wall where it would be over the side of my bed.
I like mountain lions as well if horses are to busy. Over the head of my bed, I wanted to put a picture as well of a wide open space that wall faces west. I read that a picture of wide open space is for new adventure. I like hiking a lot and also having vivid dreams. my room is very clean now that after reading the book by marie kondo, helped me a lot and now Im learning about feng shui and want to decorate the walls with pictures.
    thank you

      Hello Al,
For many people, pictures of animals are positive energy in the bedroom. I suggest that you try it and see whether anything changes in your life. If you sleep well and have good health and good energy, then the pictures you have chosen are good Feng Shui. The idea is that your room decoration “sparks joy” just as everything else in your life does.
